International Trade Mission

Emergency Management & Training Inc. (EMT) was pleased to be part of a trade mission, sponsored by the Ontario and Canadian Governments, to Thailand and Singapore. On this trip, we had the opportunity to participate in Medical Fair Asia which is an event designed for the medical and healthcare industry which brings together the region’s hospital, diagnostic, pharmaceutical, medical and rehabilitation sectors and provides a platform for networking and the discovery of the latest industry innovations.

We made numerous connections with organizations serving Southeast Asia including the Asian Disaster Preparedness Centre with whom we have already entered into a project proposal for the redevelopment of the federal emergency preparedness program in Bangladesh. We look forward to this and many other potential projects arising from this trade mission.

Emergency Management & Training Inc. is proud to have been a sponsor of this international platform for discussions and partnerships on disaster risk reduction for North, South, and Central America and the Caribbean.

The discussion was hosted by the Government of Canada, in cooperation with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR), and had more than 1000 attendees representing governments, NGOs and other agencies.

Darryl Culley, President of Emergency Management & Training Inc., attended the event and enjoyed the opportunity to expand our network and ability to serve clients around the world.

A recent fire in a patient’s room at one of our hospital client’s facilities has proved the value of our consistent, high quality, professional fire safety training. Emergency Management & Training Inc. has been providing regular fire safety and evacuation training, along with monthly fire drills for this client for the past couple of years. When a fire started in a patient’s room, the training paid off as hospital staff responded quickly to remove the patient from immediate danger and evacuate the rest of the wing, potentially saving lives and preventing injuries.

Average training produces average results. Our outstanding training produces outstanding results and can mean the difference between life and death, as demonstrated by this client’s emergency.

We encourage all healthcare facilities, including hospitals, long term care and retirement residences, to truly examine the effectiveness of their training programs. Do your staff have the training they need to be prepared to reduce risk and save lives? If your answer is no, give us a call today +001 (705) 719-9007, a life may depend on it.
